Jingle Bell the Reindeer Bag | Wicker Darling

470.00
Expected arrival of June 30, 2022 in Melbourne, Australia

Happy holidays, wicker darlings! And we have JUST the festive design to embellish that matchy-matchy outfit you're planning. BEHOLD: OUR WICKER REINDEER BAG!

We've kept the colours reasonably neutral on this one, allowing you to dress it - and yourself - in whatever colours suit your Christmas theme! Hang some baubles from the antlers, add a red nose if that's your thing, perhaps drape a Christmas hat from one of those big ears!

This reindeer is the perfect Christmas companion to see you through shopping, seasonal catch ups with family, Christmas lunch or dinner ... go hard with some tinsel and you could even make her your Christmas centre-piece on the table or mantel!

Jingle Belle the Reindeer wicker bag is our latest bespoke design, designed by Jasmine in Melbourne, and handmade using traditional weaving techniques by our artisans in the Philippines - Reindeer's primary materials are sustainably farmed and harvested rattan, leather, and a festive red, polka-dotted cotton for the lining.

Product Details

Jingle Bell is 36cm from breast to tail, 33cm tip of antler to base, and has a circumference of 48cm.

Jingle Bell has red leather handles long enough to drape from the elbow, attached by gold hardware/d-rings. It also comes with a detachable crossbody/shoulder strap (adjustable length - up to 132cm long) which can be clipped to any of the four d-rings.

Jingle Bell has a loose linen to take advantage of the internal shape of the bag - large enough to fit your wallet, a clutch of keys, a very large phone, those three red lipsticks you've always got in your handbag, and that random packet of doodads you know will come in handy one day!

All pre-ordered handbags will arrive with a hand signed collector card, a bespoke dust bag for storage, and a small gift courtesy of another Australian small business/designer.

Pre-Order Cancellations

Please be aware that in the instance of requesting a cancellation on a pre-order, a $60AUD cancellation fee will apply to cover our administration costs. To learn more, read our full FAQs.

Handmade to Order

Our handbags are designed in Australia and lovingly crafted by hand by our weavers in the Philippines. As such, each and every bag will have minor differences, whether it's in the wicker, leather work, or placement of other finishings. These are not faults, but rather a signature of hand craftsmanship from natural materials, and we consider these minor differences to be what makes every bag a unique piece of art. While every effort is made to photograph the true colour of our designs, monitors may display colours differently.

Due to our bags being made-to-order, upon occasion our ateliers may need to substitute materials used in the sample designs with different materials due to supply shortages. Where this occurs, the ateliers will do their best to find the closest possible substitute, and ensure the overall design remains consistent with the sample.

Our Ethics

Wicker Darling bags are woven from sustainably, ethically harvested rattan. Our ateliers source rattan from local co-ops and farms to support their communities and to minimise the distance the materials travel. Rattan is sustainably grown, harvested by hand, and by-products are composted.

Bags are handmade by traditional artisans, providing employment with a focus on marginalised communities and nurturing traditional skills and handicrafts, and fostering micro-businesses and individual artisans.

The overall aim is to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible, and to provide meaningful, fairly paid employment opportunities to our Filipino artisans.
