460.00
Expected arrival of April 30, 2022 in Melbourne, Australia

Doxie lovers, we've heard your cries for the return of our much loved dachshund wicker bag, and we've delivered! Please give a warm, doughy welcome to Frank the Sausage Dog! Frank the Sausage Dog bag is your perfect companion for leisurely strolls, trips to the farmer's market, and brunch dates with your besties!

Frank utilises the exact same bag structure as the original Chorizo, we've just bought him back in black and tan, and swapped our Chorizo's red leather handles for black leather handles.

Frank is our latest bespoke design, designed by Jasmine in Melbourne, and handmade using traditional weaving techniques by our artisans in the Philippines - Frank's primary materials are sustainably farmed and harvested rattan, leather, and linen for his lining.

    Product Details

Frank's body measures approximately 14 inches end to end, with a head approximately 6 inches long. He stands 8 inches toe to shoulder, and his belly circumference is approximately 17 inches.
Frank has leather handles long enough to drape from the elbow.

Frank has a loose linen to take advantage of the internal shape of the bag - large enough to fit your wallet, a clutch of keys, a very large phone, those three red lipsticks you've always got in your handbag, and that random packet of doodads you know will come in handy one day!

Frank's markings will be hand painted individually by our talented artisans! While our artisans will strive to replicate the original sample, please be aware markings may vary from bag to bag. This is not a flaw but rather a signature of the hand craftsmanship.

All pre-ordered handbags will arrive with a hand signed collector card, a bespoke dust bag for storage, and a small gift courtesy of another Australian small business/designer.

    Pre-Order Cancellations

Please be aware that in the instance of requesting a cancellation on a pre-order, a $60AUD cancellation fee will apply to cover our administration costs. To learn more, read our full FAQs.

    Handmade to Order

Our handbags are designed in Australia and lovingly crafted by hand by our weavers in the Philippines. As such, each and every bag will have minor differences, whether it's in the wicker, leather work, or placement of other finishings. These are not faults, but rather a signature of hand craftsmanship from natural materials, and we consider these minor differences to be what makes every bag a unique piece of art. While every effort is made to photograph the true colour of our designs, monitors may display colours differently.

Due to our bags being made-to-order, upon occasion our ateliers may need to substitute materials used in the sample designs with different materials due to supply shortages. Where this occurs, the ateliers will do their best to find the closest possible substitute, and ensure the overall design remains consistent with the sample.

    Our Ethics

Wicker Darling bags are woven from sustainably, ethically harvested rattan. Our ateliers source rattan from local co-ops and farms to support their communities and to minimise the distance the materials travel. Rattan is sustainably grown, harvested by hand, and by-products are composted.

Bags are handmade by traditional artisans, providing employment with a focus on marginalised communities and nurturing traditional skills and handicrafts, and fostering micro-businesses and individual artisans.

The overall aim is to reduce our environmental footprint as much as possible, and to provide meaningful, fairly paid employment opportunities to our Filipino artisans.
